Welcome to FireHouse!

WHO

"What a long strange trip its been"

Early in 2001, while living in Tulsa, Oklahoma Robert Windfield received a supernatural, one-word mandate from the Lord, Jesus. That word was Firehouse. Unsure of the meaning, Robert set it aside and went on with his life. Several months later at a “Jars of Clay” concert, his wife, Judy, heard the same supernatural word - Firehouse. However, she also heard an additional word - Church.
Over time, both Judy and Robert realized that the whole mountain of prophetic signs, words and encounters they had previously received from the Lord, and even their presbytery, had all been pointing in one direction - Spokane, Washington, and Firehouse!.

WHY

Spontaneous Spiritual Combustion

Like many believers, Robert and Judy found the tools the “traditional church” used for living the Christian life were non-functional or broken. As a result, they were non-victorious in life. After being “members” of divergent churches in California, Oklahoma, and Washington State, from different denominations and backgrounds, they concluded, the church in general was broken. And like many, just walked away. But they soon realized, the Lord is not finished with the church - even the non-functional, traditional ones. He wants His body to go from the rudiments of salvation, to becoming full, functioning citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven- not after we die or after the rapture, but in the nitty, gritty here and now.

More than all that, the Lord fully intends that there be another Great Awakening in His body in these last days. And by faith, Firehouse! is a part of it.

Mark 1:15 – [ The period of time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is here. Consider this and transform your thinking. Trust and believe in the good news that God’s way and man’s authority has been restored unto the earth and partake of that grace. ]

WHAT

"Be What You Want the World to Become"

In the years following 2001, through much prayer and meditation, the the Lord began downloading the first concepts of an entirely different entity, a fully functioning body of believers as described in scripture. Where the living Word of God is taught without compromise and the Holy Spirit has complete and unhindered freedom in the service.

At that time, the Lord thrust Robert and Judy into a spiritual “fast lane”, having a whole array of religious experiences. Some good, some not so good, and some just plain awful. Many of the more awful ones were their own doing, while others were clearly ordained by the Lord, Jesus. He gave them opportunities to see first-hand the effortless power ministers have when they flow with the anointing and the Word, and the tribulations that come when they do not.

After seeing and experiencing the inner workings of several “not-so-functional” churches, Judy and Robert were reluctant to even consider starting one, and even more reluctant to attach the dreaded label “church” to their fresh and living concept of Firehouse!. Yet that is what Firehouse! is. A church.

I have come to cast fire upon the earth, and how I wish that it were already kindled!  - Luke 12:49 -

BACKPAGES

Both Judy and Robert were born and raised in Northern California where they separately found the Lord, outside any church or denomination. They were quickly immersed into revival by Jill Austin and Altha Singh.

In the mid-nineties, they felt the Lord calling them to formal Bible education, and they relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma. They graduated from Victory Bible Institute - a word of faith based Bible college. There they received rich impartations from Lester Sumrall, T. L. Osborn, Charles Capps, Richard Roberts, and Kenneth E. Hagin. At that time, Judy and Robert were immersed deep in revival at Kenneth Hagin’s ongoing meetings at Rhema Bible Training Center, and Rodney Howard-Browne’s powerful meetings in Christ Chapel at ORU. They came to know that the Word is absolutely true and the presence of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Water - the washing of the Word, to wine - the Holy Spirits as new wine.

A short time after graduation, both Robert and Judy were ordained and licensed. And at the Lord’s leading, they gave what had been imparted to them in a leadership training program they called “Young Lions” in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

Then, in 2000 the Lord led Robert to a church staff position in Tulsa. There he created a media department and honed his skills in video and graphics. There they both received many rich prophetic words from the monthly special speakers. John Arnott of the Toronto Blessing, Randy Clark, Pat King, Mahesh Chavda and Wesley Campbell among them. And there, the seeds of Firehouse! began to grow. Welcome to Firehouse!
