Like Trees Walking is the last installment in the ambient trilogy of Vertical music. This album is a slight breakaway from the last two in that it is more like a painting than an environment. The Clearing sets the canvas as being the cosmos of creation. A man is introduced in the track Hawthorne. In Blackthorn an adversary is pitted against all that is good great and small. The last track Evergreen introduces the final solution God has ordained and set into the cosmos.

A total of 4 tracks are on this album lasting about 15 min. each. There are eastern rhythms, tones, colors and textures not heard on the other album.
